Another beer another day. The first premium beer here on the blog. Tyskie is high in hops and has a slightly bitter taste which after a while you will get used to. Again another cheap beer for only £1.36 and at 5.6% you get 500ml which filled my pint glass so you get plenty for your money. This beer is nothing special and I’m really finding it hard to say anything about it. I will give this an average rating of 3 beers. If you are someone who likes to try new beers I would recommend this one, if aren’t I would say leave it.

I was a pessimistic when I first saw this beer and must say I have never tried a Chinese larger before and I wouldn’t think of China as the place to find a nice beer. But I was proven wrong. Tsingtao ‘ pronounced ‘Ching-dow’ is a surprisingly nice beer. The general smell of it remind me of fosters but the taste is far more pleasant and well balance than fosters. I would say this is an ideal beer to have with a Chinese meal or any take away. It really is a light and refreshing beer. It seems the Chinese get many things wrong but making a good beer they seem to have got right. I give this a 4 beer rating as it surprised me and at only £1.89 you get 640ml which is well over a pint, so its definitely a bargain.

Here we have the very first beer of the blog.

Name: Samuel Adams

Origin: United States, Boston.

Alc Vol: 4.8%

Size: 355ml

While this may not be one of the major American brands we are used to drinking Samuel Adams is one smoothest American beers that I have tasted. Slightly acidic on the tongue when you first start drinking it as this has more bite than lets say Budwiser. This might be because I drank it a room temperature which is fine for some beers but not this one. Once chilled this beer has a much nicer taste. At only £1.19 a bottle you cant go wrong for a larger which is 4.8% which is just below premium level. Though this may be a smooth beer it will let you know that you have drank it, this will really give you that feeling and let you know you have drank it. I wouldnt recommend spending a night drinking these unless you want a hangover

I would give this larger a 3 beer rating as its definitely something different from your stock American beers but it doesn’t give you anything that other beers can.

For a while now I have been on a quest some may say to try a beer from almost every country on this green earth and to try some of the lesser known beer brands. After having a few freinds say I should start a blog charting my jounrney to discover more beers here I am. I plan to cover all the major brands of beer out there along with the lesser known brands and give them a rating out of 5.

So lets begin.
